Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM Lens

The Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM Lens is a standard prime lens for Canon EOS cameras. It has a 50mm focal length and a maximum f/1.8 aperture. The optical design uses six elements in five groups. It also has a seven-blade circular aperture. Furthermore, Canon uses lens coatings to help reduce ghosting and flare. For autofocus, the lens uses a gear-type STM drive system. It supports full-time manual focus. In addition, the minimum focusing distance is 0.35m. The maximum magnification is 0.21x. The lens provides a 46-degree diagonal angle of view. Also, it accepts 49mm filters. The lens uses a Canon EF mount for compatible EOS cameras. On APS-C cameras, it provides an effective focal length of about 80mm. Therefore, the lens offers a different field of view on smaller sensors. The lens measures approximately 69.2mm in diameter and 39.3mm in length. Meanwhile, it weighs approximately 160g. Its compact size makes it a small fixed-focal-length lens. The f/1.8 maximum aperture remains constant because this is a prime lens. Moreover, the STM system supports continuous autofocus during compatible video recording. The lens also has a redesigned focus ring placement. In addition, its metal mount provides the specified lens mounting construction. Manufacturer’s link Check out other options here!
