Sleek, Low-Profile Black Finish That Blends Seamlessly The DM6SE speakers feature a smooth, low-gloss black finish that complements darker ceilings or contemporary interior designs where a discreet appearance is desired. The grille’s magnetic attachment and minimal visible hardware allow for a flush, seamless look that preserves architectural integrity. Additionally, the grille is paintable, giving installers and designers the flexibility to match any ceiling color or finish precisely. This makes the DM6SE pair a perfect choice for environments demanding both performance and style, such as modern offices, upscale retail spaces, galleries, and performance venues. Two-Way Acoustic Design with Balanced Full-Range Sound Each speaker incorporates a sophisticated two-way driver system consisting of a 6.5-inch polypropylene woofer and a 1-inch soft dome tweeter . This configuration ensures that the Bose DM6SE pair reproduces sound faithfully across the full audio spectrum, delivering clear highs, well-defined midrange, and robust lows. The woofer’s polypropylene cone provides tight, controlled bass response, while the tweeter’s soft dome design offers smooth and natural high-frequency detail. Bose’s advanced waveguide technology enhances directivity, minimizing distortion and optimizing sound dispersion throughout the listening area. Wide 100-Degree Conical Coverage for Even Sound Distribution The DM6SE’s acoustic architecture produces a 100° conical coverage pattern , providing broad, uniform sound dispersion that fills medium-sized rooms with consistent audio clarity. This wide coverage pattern helps reduce “hot spots” or dead zones where sound levels vary, ensuring every listener experiences clear, intelligible audio. Whether installed in conference rooms, classrooms, dining areas, or worship sanctuaries, the speakers provide excellent speech intelligibility and musicality. This balanced coverage helps maintain an engaging audio environment and supports multiple zones within larger facilities. Flexible Power Handling and Multi-Tap Transformer for System Versatility The Bose DM6SE speakers include an integrated multi-tap transformer that supports both low-impedance (8 ohm) operation and high-impedance distributed audio systems (70V/100V). This flexibility enables seamless integration into various commercial audio system designs, from simple single-zone setups to complex multi-zone distributed networks. Using the front-access rotary tap switch , installers can easily adjust power taps without removing the speaker from its mounting, streamlining installation and system tuning. The available power taps include: 70V: 16W, 8W, 4W, 2W 100V: 16W, 8W, 4W 8-ohm bypass for direct low-impedance connection This versatility ensures the DM6SE pair adapts to diverse commercial environments and audio requirements.
