Canon RF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS USM Lens

The Canon RF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS USM Lens is a telephoto zoom lens for the Canon EOS R system. It offers a 70-200mm focal range with a constant f/2.8 aperture. The optical design uses 17 elements in 13 groups. It includes one Super UD element, three UD elements, and two aspheric elements. Also, Canon uses SWC and fluorine coatings. For autofocus, the lens uses an independent Nano USM drive system. Its minimum focus distance is 0.7m, while maximum magnification is 0.23x. The lens also provides optical image stabilization with up to five stops of correction. This rating follows Canon’s CIPA standard at 200mm with an EOS R camera. In addition, it has a nine-blade circular aperture and accepts 77mm filters. It also includes a control ring for selected camera settings. The lens has an approximate minimum length of 146mm and a maximum diameter of 89.9mm. Without the tripod mount, it weighs about 1,070g. Furthermore, the 70-200mm range provides several telephoto focal lengths without changing lenses. The f/2.8 aperture also stays constant across the full zoom range. Finally, the RF mount provides compatibility with Canon EOS R cameras. The lens combines Nano USM focusing, optical stabilization, and Canon’s specified optical elements.
