The Canon RF 100-400mm f/5.6-8 IS USM is a telephoto zoom lens for Canon EOS R cameras. It covers a 100-400mm focal range with a variable f/5.6-8 aperture. The optical design uses 17 elements in 12 groups. It includes one UD element and one aspherical element. Also, Canon uses Super Spectra Coating on the lens elements. For autofocus, the lens uses a Nano USM drive system. It provides a minimum focusing distance of 0.88m. Furthermore, the maximum magnification reaches 0.41x at 400mm. The lens features optical image stabilization with up to five stops of correction. In addition, compatible EOS R cameras can combine lens and in-body stabilization. The lens uses a nine-blade circular aperture. It accepts 67mm filters and includes a control ring. Moreover, the lens supports a focus mode switch and focus limiter. The RF mount provides compatibility with Canon EOS R-series cameras. Also, the lens has a dust- and moisture-resistant design around key areas. The lens measures approximately 79.5mm in diameter and 164.7mm in length. Meanwhile, it weighs approximately 635g. The 100-400mm range provides several telephoto focal lengths in one lens. Therefore, users can change framing without changing lenses. The variable aperture ranges from f/5.6 at 100mm to f/8 at 400mm. Manufacturer’s link Check out other options here!
