Sigma 35mm f/1.2 DG II Art Lens For Sony E

The Sigma 35mm F1.2 DG II | Art is a full-frame prime lens for Sony E-mount cameras. It combines a 35mm focal length with a bright F1.2 maximum aperture. The optical design uses 17 elements in 13 groups. It includes one SLD element and four aspherical elements. In addition, Sigma designed the lens to control chromatic aberration and sagittal coma flare. The F1.2 aperture provides a shallow depth of field and large background blur. Moreover, the 11-blade rounded diaphragm helps create smooth out-of-focus areas. Autofocus uses Sigma’s dual HLA system. Two linear motors drive the focus groups separately. Therefore, the lens provides fast, reliable, and quiet autofocus for compatible Sony cameras. The lens minimizes focus breathing during focus changes. This makes it suitable for both still photography and video recording. In addition, the lens includes an AFL button for assigning compatible camera functions. The minimum focusing distance is 28cm. Its maximum magnification ratio reaches 1:5.3. Furthermore, the lens accepts 72mm filters and uses a minimum aperture of F16. Sigma uses a dust- and splash-resistant structure for the lens. The front element also has a water- and oil-repellent coating. However, the lens is not waterproof. The Sony E-mount version measures 81mm in diameter and 113.4mm in length. It weighs approximately 745g. Moreover, the lens includes an iris ring lock and click switch for additional control. Manufacturer’s link Check out other options here!
