Sigma 70 F2.8 For Sony

The Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 DG DN II Art is a full-frame standard zoom lens for mirrorless cameras. The Sony E-mount version covers an 84.1° to 34.3° angle of view. Therefore, it handles wide-angle, standard, and short telephoto framing in one lens. Its constant F2.8 maximum aperture maintains consistent brightness throughout the zoom range. Additionally, the rounded 11-blade diaphragm supports smooth background rendering. The minimum aperture is F22. The optical design contains 19 elements in 15 groups. It includes six FLD elements, two SLD elements, and five aspherical elements. Furthermore, Sigma designed the lens to deliver high resolution across the entire zoom range. The minimum focusing distance is 17cm at the wide end and 34cm at the telephoto end. Moreover, the maximum magnification ratio reaches 1:2.7 at 24mm and 1:4 at 70mm. The Sony E-mount version uses an HLA high-response linear actuator for autofocus. Its maximum drive speed exceeds that of the previous model. The lens also includes an aperture ring and two AFL buttons. The construction includes a dust- and splash-resistant structure and a water- and oil-repellent coating. However, Sigma does not describe the lens as waterproof. The Sony E-mount version measures 87.8 × 122.2mm and weighs approximately 735g. Manufacturer’s link Check out other options here!
