Redefining Portraiture Excellence: Sony FE 85mm f/1.4 GM II Lens Building upon the legendary reputation of its predecessor, the Sony FE 85mm f/1.4 GM II is a masterclass in optical engineering, tailored specifically for portrait photographers, wedding professionals, and high-end cinematic creators. Evolved to match the speed and precision of modern mirrorless bodies, this second-generation G Master prime lens delivers breathtaking corner-to-corner sharpness, significantly suppressed chromatic aberrations, and magnificent, organic bokeh. Engineered for absolute agility in the field, the Mark II has been meticulously redesigned to be 20% lighter and roughly 13% smaller in volume than the original model, reducing fatigue during all-day shoots. Under the hood, the transition to dual XD (Extreme Dynamic) Linear Motors transforms its autofocus capabilities, providing up to 3x faster tracking performance and seamless, silent focus transitions for video production. Combined with physical controls like an iris lock switch, de-click aperture ring, and a weather-sealed dust- and moisture-resistant construction, the FE 85mm f/1.4 GM II stands as the ultimate benchmark for medium-telephoto prime performance.
