Canon Rf 15-30 F4.5-6.3

The Canon RF 15-30mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM Lens is an ultra-wide zoom lens for Canon EOS R cameras. It offers a 15-30mm focal range with a variable f/4.5-6.3 maximum aperture. The optical design uses 13 elements in 11 groups. It includes two UD elements and three aspherical elements. In addition, Canon uses Super Spectra Coating on the lens. For autofocus, the lens uses an STM drive system. Its minimum focusing distance is 0.28m at 15mm and 0.128m at 30mm. The maximum magnification reaches 0.52x at 30mm. The lens also provides optical image stabilization with up to five stops of correction. Furthermore, it supports Movie Servo AF when used with compatible Canon cameras. The lens uses a seven-blade circular aperture and accepts 67mm filters. It also includes a control ring for selected camera settings. Its maximum diameter is approximately 76.6mm. The lens measures approximately 88.4mm in length. Moreover, it weighs approximately 390g. The 15-30mm focal range covers ultra-wide to wide-angle views. Therefore, it provides different framing options without changing lenses. The variable aperture ranges from f/4.5 to f/6.3 across the zoom range. In addition, the RF mount provides compatibility with Canon EOS R cameras. The lens combines STM autofocus, optical stabilization, and Canon’s specified optical elements.
