Bose Pro FreeSpace FS2SE – Weather-Resistant Outdoor Loudspeakers (IP55, Pair) – Premium Bose Pro FreeSpace FS2SE – Weather-Resistant Outdoor Loudspeakers (IP55, Pair) – Premium represents a new generation of outdoor-rated commercial loudspeakers engineered for premium background music, clear speech, and reliable performance in exposed environments. Designed with the durability of an outdoor enclosure and the acoustic signature of a high-fidelity indoor speaker, the FS2SE offers a powerful blend of clarity, coverage, and weather resistance that fits perfectly into hospitality, retail, food & beverage, and architectural applications. With its IP55 weather-resistant rating , UV-protected construction, and elegant, modern design, the FS2SE is built for terraces, patios, gardens, open-air cafés, poolside environments, and commercial outdoor areas that demand consistent, high-quality audio throughout the day. It is part of the Bose FreeSpace FS family, a lineup crafted to deliver exceptional sound quality in environments where aesthetics, reliability, and consistent performance matter. Premium Outdoor Build & Installation Flexibility Unlike typical outdoor speakers that prioritize ruggedness at the expense of sound, the FS2SE excels in both design and acoustic refinement. Its enclosure is built using UV-resistant engineered plastics designed to withstand strong sunlight, environmental exposure, and changing weather conditions without fading, cracking, or degrading. The exterior grille is crafted from corrosion-resistant powder-coated steel , providing stability and structural integrity over long-term outdoor use. In addition, the speaker features a weather-resistant input cover that protects the wiring and terminals from moisture, ensuring dependable operation even in rainy or humid locations. Installers benefit from an intuitive mounting system that includes a quick-mounting bracket , allowing fast and secure wall installation in both vertical and horizontal orientations. This makes the FS2SE suitable for open terraces, store facades, exterior walkways, gardens, and hospitality venues requiring elegant outdoor audio solutions that blend seamlessly into the environment. IP55 Weather Resistance for True Outdoor Use The FS2SE carries an IP55 rating , which certifies the speaker as protected against harmful dust levels and low-pressure water jets from any direction. This makes it perfectly suitable for: Outdoor seating areas and terraces Partially or fully exposed patios Hospitality venues with open architectures Poolside restaurants (protected from direct jets) Gardens, rooftops, and courtyards Commercial walkways and façades Unlike indoor speakers such as the FS2P, the FS2SE is specifically engineered for direct outdoor exposure . This includes rain, humidity, dust, and temperature changes — all without affecting performance or longevity. Acoustic Performance & Sound Quality At the core of the FS2SE is a 2.25-inch full-range transducer designed by Bose to deliver smooth, natural sound across the vocal and midrange frequencies. The speaker offers clean, balanced playback that maintains clarity even at low volume levels — a crucial factor for creating comfortable atmospheres in outdoor hospitality and retail environments. Although compact, the FS2SE produces a surprisingly rich and warm tonal response , with enough presence to carry music throughout outdoor seating areas without causing distortion or listener fatigue. It provides: Clear speech reproduction for announcements or paging Warm, detailed background music for ambience Uniform coverage across wide-open areas Low distortion , even during continuous operation The Bose voicing ensures that audio remains consistent and pleasant, avoiding the harsh sound signatures commonly found in weatherproof speakers. Wide Coverage for Large Outdoor Areas One of the standout features of the FS2SE is its exceptionally wide 145° × 140° coverage pattern . This broad dispersion means that fewer speakers are needed to achieve uniform sound, making installations more efficient and visually clean. For restaurants, cafés, terraces, and commercial outdoor corridors, this wide pattern ensures customers experience consistent audio no matter where they sit or walk. The FS2SE is especially effective in spaces where sound must spread evenly without requiring high volume levels. Versatile Audio System Compatibility The FS2SE supports both low-impedance (8 ohms) and 70V/100V distributed audio systems. This makes it an incredibly flexible option for a wide range of outdoor commercial setups. In 70V/100V mode , installers can use multiple speakers on long cable runs across terraces, rooftops, resort pathways, and shopping village outdoor zones — all connected to a single amplifier. Tap settings allow precise control over sound levels in each zone. In low-impedance mode , the FS2SE delivers premium full-fidelity audio suitable for boutique cafes, residential terraces, private villas, or upsca
