Sigma 16 F1.4 For Sony

The Sigma 16mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary Lens is a wide-angle prime lens for Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras with APS-C sensors. It provides a 16mm focal length and a maximum f/1.4 aperture. The optical design uses 16 elements in 13 groups. It includes three FLD elements, two SLD elements, and two aspherical elements. Also, Sigma uses Super Multi-Layer Coating to reduce flare and ghosting. For autofocus, the lens uses a stepping motor. It provides a minimum focusing distance of 0.25m. Furthermore, the maximum magnification reaches 0.14x. The lens has a nine-blade rounded diaphragm. It accepts 67mm filters and uses a Sony E-mount. In addition, the lens supports electronic communication with compatible Sony cameras. The lens measures approximately 72.2mm in diameter and 92.3mm in length. Meanwhile, it weighs approximately 405g. On Sony APS-C cameras, the 16mm focal length provides an angle of view similar to a 24mm lens on a full-frame camera. Therefore, it offers a wide-angle field of view for compatible APS-C systems. The f/1.4 maximum aperture remains fixed throughout use because this is a prime lens. Also, the lens uses an internal focusing system. The stepping motor provides autofocus operation with compatible Sony E-mount cameras. The lens includes a brass bayonet mount for Sony E. Furthermore, the mount uses a dust- and splash-resistant structure around the connection area. Manufacturer’s link Check out other options here!
