Sony FE 400-800mm f/6.3-8 G OSS Lens (Sony E)

The Sony FE 400-800mm f/6.3-8 G OSS is a full-frame super-telephoto zoom lens for Sony E-mount cameras. It covers a 400-800mm focal range. The lens uses 19 elements in 27 groups. In addition, six ED glass elements help control chromatic aberration. The lens also uses an 11-blade circular aperture. The internal zoom design keeps the lens length unchanged while zooming. Therefore, it helps maintain a more stable center of gravity during use. The lens uses two precision linear motors for autofocus. It also includes a focus-range limiter and focus-hold button. Furthermore, focus breathing is suppressed for video recording. Optical SteadyShot image stabilization helps reduce camera shake. The lens also supports Sony’s SEL14TC and SEL20TC teleconverters. With the optional 2x converter, the focal length can reach 1600mm. The minimum focusing distance ranges from 1.7m to 3.5m. Meanwhile, the maximum magnification ratio reaches 0.23x. The lens accepts 105mm filters. It measures approximately 119.8 × 346mm and weighs approximately 2,475g. In addition, Sony provides a tripod mount for supported shooting setups.
