Sony Fe 85 F1.8 For Sony

Sony FE 85mm F1.8 is a compact full-frame E-mount prime lens made for portraits and everyday photography. Its 85mm focal length gives a flattering view for people, events, weddings, and street portraits. The bright F1.8 aperture also works well in lower light. In addition, it creates a shallow depth of field that helps separate your subject from the background. The optical design uses nine elements in eight groups. An extra-low dispersion glass element helps reduce chromatic aberration. Therefore, the lens can maintain clear detail and natural color across the image. The lens uses a double linear motor system for autofocus. As a result, focusing remains fast and precise for both still images and video. The system also operates quietly, which helps during video recording. The minimum focus distance is 0.8m. Meanwhile, the maximum magnification reaches 0.13x. This makes the lens well suited to portraits rather than close-up macro photography. A nine-blade circular aperture helps produce smooth background blur. Moreover, the 85mm focal length and F1.8 aperture work together for strong subject separation. The lens includes a focus hold button and a focus mode switch. Therefore, you can quickly change focus settings while shooting. The focus hold button can also support custom camera functions. The compact body measures about 78 × 82mm. It weighs approximately 371g, making it easy to carry during long photo sessions. The lens also uses a dust- and moisture-resistant design. In addition, the front element has a fluorine coating that helps resist dirt and fingerprints. Overall, this lens offers a useful balance of portrait reach, bright aperture, fast autofocus, and low weight. It is a practical choice for Sony full-frame E-mount cameras.
